More about Jess & Austin Drawhorn

A man and woman in wedding clothes (Jess and Austin!) hold hands and run across a mountainous landscape in Rocky Mountain National Park

We’ve been there — we eloped on a snowy day in 2017 in Rocky Mountain National Park

We believe in this.

We believe in community, equality, kindness — in following your heart and trusting your gut and finding your passions in life. We care about protecting the environment and respecting animals. We’re big fans of humanity too.

We’re doing our best to live these beliefs every day and to lead lives we’re proud of.

More than anything we love traveling together, eating delicious meals, seeing new things, experiencing the world together (and being cozy at home).

A note from Austin

Jess is my world. Please allow me to get a lil sappy here.

She’s so supportive, sharp, kind, curious, funny, goofy, warm — I simply adore her. And I’m so proud to be married to her and work alongside her in all our ventures and across all our adventures. Truly a treasure (and a babe).

And to our clients reading this: there’s no better person to help you with what you’re trying to pull off here. No one more experienced, no one who will work harder to listen to you, to see you, to be there for you.

He took a technicals-first approach, and has joyously spent the last few years especially exploring imperfection and expression.

A note from Jess

Everyone loves Austin.

He’s a great listener and a generous tipper. Animals instinctively trust and love him. He loves to learn and is always seeking ways to get better and better at his craft. He makes the best/worst puns and keeps me laughing all day long. He actively seeks out the best in people. He is so kind and good every moment of every day.

Austin’s work is guided by one solid principle: everyone deserves great photos of themselves. He’s so kind and thoughtful behind the camera – he’ll make you feel like a million bucks before you ever even see your photos.

Our photography style:

Part documentation,
Part direction.

We shoot a documentary
style so that:

Your day can feel natural and easy — so you can experience it, not have it happen to you. You’ll definitely not be posing for 8hrs straight

The genuine moments that happen throughout the day can be captured forever — or small details you might have missed but want to remember too

We give direction so that:

You can get some really epic photos of yourselves — those usually don’t happen on their own and require a lil setup

More importantly, so that you’re not on your own out there, or feeling pressured to always know what to do — we’ve got you

Places we’ve been featured

Some photos of us at work

We’ve celebrated amazing days with hundreds of couples, not just home in Colorado — but everywhere from Utah, Wyoming, Montana, California, Washington, Oregon, Brooklyn, Miami, and all the way to Iceland (and Canada).

If it’s a beautiful place with sweet people, we’re there.
